- Where is patient data stored?
- In a SQLite database on the computer where you install the app. Patient records are not uploaded to our servers — the subscription only unlocks features.
- What happens when I reach 5 patients on Free?
- Your existing records keep working — you just can't add a sixth patient until you upgrade. Upgrading takes effect immediately, no reinstall.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes. Charting, scheduling, and records all work without internet. You only need a connection to sign in, change plans, or fetch updates.
- What if my computer fails — is patient data backed up?
- You control backups on your own machine or clinic network, so they never leave the building. Email support@teethplanning.com and we'll walk you through a simple backup routine.
- Can reception and several dentists use it?
- Yes. Create staff accounts with access suited to the front desk and to clinicians, so everyone sees what they need.
- What data ever leaves my clinic?
- Only sign-in, subscription checks, and app updates use the internet. Day-to-day charting and patient records are never uploaded to us.
- Which platforms are supported?
- Windows 10/11 today, with a macOS build available. Patient data transfer to a mobile companion is on the roadmap.
- How do I cancel a subscription?
- Cancel anytime from your billing receipt (payments are handled by Dodo Payments) or by emailing support. Your data stays on your machine either way.
- Can I migrate from another system?
- Usually, yes. Email support@teethplanning.com with a sample of your export and we'll scope the import with you.
